Duties of Parents for Children in Islam

The Duties and roles of parents in Islam, Muslim children are considered as precious gifts from “Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.”  

The Prophet (P.B.U.H) said: “The major sins are associating partners with God and ingratitude to parents.”

The Prophet (P.B.U.H) defined ingratitude to one’s parents as the largest of the major immoralities. In yet other hadiths, it was reported that the Prophet (P.B.U.H) said: “Parents are the middle door of paradise if you so wish you can maintain it and if you so wish you can forfeit it” and “Paradise lies beneath the feet of mothers.”




Disobedience to parents is pronounced as ingratitude and this is one of the major sins in Islam. To emphasize the gravity of noncompliance to parents.
